Are there any side effects to massage?

In general, there are no side effects to getting a massage…
First and most commonly, it’s very likely that your body is releasing toxins that have been stored up (because a massage is healthy and gets the blood flowing)… these toxins get back into your system and if they aren’t eliminated (via diet, sweating, or system cleanse), they can affect your system and you can feel sick. After a few times of this happening, it shouldn’t happen as much if at all (as the toxins are all worked out of your system), but taking a good cleanser and/or drinking more water will help get rid of that effect much faster.

Is it ok to eat & drink before my massage?

It’s not ideal to have a massage on a full stomach so to gain total relaxation for your mind and body, eat at least one hour prior to your massage and try to avoid consuming alcohol.

How will I feel after the treatment?

It is different for everyone. Some people will feel instantly re-energised and lighter directly after the treatment, while others may feel relaxed and quite sleepy. Drinking several glasses of fresh water after the treatment is necessary to help flush these toxins from your system and alcohol and caffeine should be avoided for the rest of the day.

What if I realise I’ve drooled during the massage?

Many people fall into a peaceful slumber during the massage but when they wake up, they notice a pool of drool on the pillow or massage table. This is very common. It often happens when people are being massaged while lying face down on the massage table.

Which areas of my body will be massaged?

A full body treatment will focusing on back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet (excluding genital areas). You will be covered throughout the massage using a towel. I will only uncover the area that I am going to be working on once I have finished, and then I will recover it. Women should note that the breast area will not be massaged and will remain fully covered throughout the treatment to ensure your comfort and privacy.

Can I get any extras apart from massage?

No, we do not offer any sexual services of any kind. I understand that a properly preformed full body massage can be very arousing but please understand I am a licensed therapist and do not offer any extras. Please respect me and do not make any indecent proposals.

What if I get an erection during the massage?

Some men don’t get massage therapy because they worry that they’ll get an erection. Or they get the massage, but are unable to relax during the massage because of this fear. But there is no reason to be embarrassed. It’s perfectly normal for men to get an erection during a non-sexual, therapeutic massage. Gentle touch administered to any area of the body can activate the parasympathetic nervous system and cause a partial or full erection. Your massage therapist (male or female) understands this and will generally ignore it.
